Our story
86 years stocking what industrial buyers actually need
American Wire Works was founded in Philadelphia in 1940 as a distributor of industrial wire products. Over eight decades, the catalog has grown to reflect the real demands of the buyers we serve: construction contractors who need rebar tie wire in bulk, aerospace MRO shops that need a specific MS20995 diameter on short notice, insulation contractors who need Monel or Inconel wire for offshore or high-temp work.
We're not a catalog distributor that drop-ships from a warehouse you've never seen. Our inventory sits in Folcroft, PA. When you call for lead time, we can tell you what's on the shelf because we're looking at it.
As an authorized MAX USA dealer, we also supply TW1061-compatible tie wire coils alongside the tying guns themselves — so contractors can source a complete rebar tying system from one place instead of two.
